Our Mission
The Corvette of Choice car club originated from a group of passionate Corvette enthusiasts who would gather to meticulously clean, polish, and showcase their beloved vehicles. As they travelled through various communities, they recognized the need to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. This selfless spirit led to the formation of our guiding principle:
“To actively engage in our community and provide assistance to those in need.”
Inspired by this noble cause, the group’s membership expanded rapidly, attracting individuals who shared their passion for Corvettes and a forever commitment to making a positive difference within the community. Today, we boast over 100 active members, and our numbers continue to grow steadily.
In accordance with our motto, we actively participate in various community service initiatives. We distribute book bags to schools, food boxes to families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, and host a Christmas toy giveaway with Santa Claus and his elves. Additionally, we provide transportation for dignitaries and others during parades such as the Martin Luther King Jr. parades held in Compton, Los Angeles, Gardena, and Hawthorne. Notably, we have also contributed to the Orange County Black History and Cultural Affairs. We support the City of Carson by participating in their yearly Juneteenth celebration, while also maintaining collaborative work with Chevrolet of Carson.
Furthermore, we actively participate in the Peace Rides organized by Reverend Powe, as a means of promoting peace and combating violence among our community members and addressing injustices faced by minorities.
Our efforts are financially supported by donations, as well as our two annual dances, held in July and December. It is through this that we’re able to expand our outreach, and better offer support, love, and service throughout the community, and other underserved populations.
